Best chefs in the West take a bow
Plymouth's tenth annual Flavour Fest is in full swing this weekend ,with demonstrations from top chefs and innovators at the city centre's Piazza, as well as a huge selection of food and drink stalls showcasing the true taste of the Westcountry region.
Among today's highlights is a demo at 10.30am by Anton Piotrowski of the Treby Arms at Sparkwell, who won last year's Masterchef the Professionals TV challenge. There's also a session at 4pm with Neil Haydock from Watergate Bay Hotel at Newquay, and another at 4pm with Sammy Loundes one of the first graduates from Fifteen Cornwall, now running the restaurant at Plymouth Art Centre.
Tomorrow sees more of the best in the West on stage from 10am to 4pm, including Mal Harradine and Jacques Marchal, Brett Camborne- Paynter from Austells, Nick Barclay from The Blue Plate, Downderry and Peter Gorton from Gortons, Tavistock.
