ALL too often these days, apathy can rule the day.
People have become so used to seeing the authorities and big business seemingly ignore them and carry on just as they like, a "what's the point?" attitude is starting to prevail.
But as our story on page 3 goes to show, people power can still win the day given the right circumstances.

Each and every one of us should thank those concerned for their efforts to ensure this major facility retains a decent public transport service.
And that's not just because we might find ourselves needing to use it ourselves, if not now, at some point in years to come.
But also because of the broader message it sends out at this crucial time for Frome, as its future hangs in the balance amid plans for largescale development.
That is – if enough people stand up to be counted then they can have a very real impact.
Bosses at First Bus deserve plaudits too for paying attention when it mattered.
Let's hope others in positions of authority take heed and see the benefits that listening to the people can bring.
