Robyn Kostynowicz, who runs The Burlesque Playbox in the Emporium, said the event will be a fantastic chance to see a star performer.
She said: “It’s a great opportunity to experience some good, old-fashioned burlesque dancing with a modern twist – and a chance to see Beatrix at her best.
“If you’re into burlesque, cabaret or any of the performing arts, it’s an ideal way to see some of the world’s top performers in this field.”
Dance acts The DeciBelles and The Lyme Bay Lindyhoppers will also perform at the event.
Ms Von Bourbon, 28, began performing burlesque in 2006 and has been voted one of the top 50 artists worldwide.
She was thrust into the British spotlight when around eight million ITV1 viewers saw her compete in the Britain’s Got Talent series last year.
Entertainment supremo Simon Cowell described her as a “British version of Dita Von Teese”.
She describes her act as a unique combination of her warm, friendly and charismatic personality with her heavily tattooed appearance and risque performance.
Tickets for Beatrix von Bourbon’s workshop cost £12.50 per person and must be purchased before the event.
To book your place on the workshop, you can go to the Burlesque Playbox at the Emporium or alternatively e-mail theburlesqueplaybox@yahoo.co.uk.
