Bath prop to help Chew team
Up-and-coming Bath Rugby prop Kane Palma-Newport will lend his expertise to Chew Valley U7s next week.
The 21-year-old tighthead has been sponsored by Metro Rod Bristol for two years but this year the company have extended their support for local rugby by sponsoring some of the youngest players at Chew Valley RFC.

Palma-Newport will join up with the Chew U7s coaching team on Sunday to take an early training session before helping with a double header of matches against Weston Hornets and Frampton Cotterell.
Chew Valley coach Richard Rees Jones said: "The boys are unusually already looking forward to the end of half-term.
"They can't wait to get back on the rugby pitch and hopefully continue their unbeaten run this season. It promises to be a great morning of rugby."
Metro Rod Bristol sales and marketing manager Rachael Kenyon added: "We are delighted to be able to bring together the two ends of rugby.
"The commitment from Kane to give up his time and the reciprocation of enthusiasm from the Chew Valley U7s is just fantastic."
