Bath City Manda Rigby calls for Truro City match postponement
Bath City chairman Manda Rigby has called for the postponement of the club’s scheduled trip to crisis club Truro on Tuesday night.
The Blue Square Bet South fixture is set to be the Cornish club’s last in its current guise unless a buyer steps forward to save them within the next six days.

Truro – who were bankrolled up the non-league pyramid by ex-chairman Kevin Heaney – are around £700,000 in debt and have been deducted ten points for entering administration.
Their players have not been paid for two months and are poised to leave en masse as soon as City have visited Treyew Road.

That would lead to the liquidation of the club and see Truro’s league record expunged – leaving City with nothing to show for their most expensive away trip of the season.
“We are talking to both Truro’s administrators and the league about what might happen should the club go out of business next week,” confirmed Rigby.
“Without wishing to add to a fellow football club’s woes, it will cost us £2,000 to make an eight-hour round trip, we are running the risk of injury ahead of an important FA Cup game (at home to Gosport) on the following Saturday and the players won’t get back home until about 4am.
“Then there are the hidden things, like players taking part of Tuesday and Wednesday off work in order to travel.
“If next week really is D-Day for Truro City then I think it would be a good idea to postpone this game, especially as it’s their only home match in the next two weeks.”
City expect a decision either way by the weekend.
