Barn blaze still burning 24 hours later
Fire crews are still treating the barn blaze, 24 hours after it first began.
The latest updates from the Devon and Somerset Fire Service says that crews continued to use compressed air foam to supress hot spots overnight.
This morning at 9am, a rescue tender from Glastonbury was requested for strops.
The farmers machinery is in use removing more straw bales which are being covered in foam to cool.
Two pumping appliances and other specialist vehicles are in attendance
Last night, the incident was reduced to two fire appliances, as crews began laying a foam blanket across the stack of hay.
Axbridge, Alston Sutton and Weare residents were warned yesterday to shut their windows due to the large smoke plume from the barn fire.
