BLOG: KIKO Luscious Cream Lipstick
I hadn't heard of KIKO cosmetics before Wizard PR kindly sent me one of their lipsticks for review. I had requested a lipstick in a berry colour as this is one of the biggest beauty trends for autumn/winter 2013.
Wizard PR sent me a KIKO Luscious Cream lipstick in shade 520. The product comes in an elegant silver case that I struggled to get into at first, before realising you have to 'pop' it open from the bottom! At a first glance, I thought the shade was a little too dark for my skin and debated giving it to one of my colleagues for a guest post. On a second look, I decided to man up and have a go at mastering the berry look!
The lipstick had a lovely scent and didn't smell too 'makeuppy' like so many do. I only applied a light coverage at first, nervous about the shade. I realised quickly that this lipstick wasn't as dark as I had originally thought so I applied more and more to build the colour up. The result sat nicely against my pale skin probably more so than if I had a tanned complexion.
The lipstick felt very moisturising and I didn't have to cover my lips with balm to keep them from drying out. The product lasted throughout the day with me only having to re-apply once to keep the colour the desirable shade.
Overall, this was a product that had me completely sold after I had given it the time to trial. I have taken a look at the KIKO cosmetics website and there is an absolutely massive range of lip colours to choose from so I will definitely be making a trip back to purchase some more shades.
Thank you Wizard PR…you have found yourselves a customer!
