Awards handed out at annual Frome Cricket Club dinner
Frome Cricket Club's annual awards dinner took place last month and was attended by 60 players, club officials and guests.
The evening started with speeches from the club's three senior captains, before the season's awards were presented by guest speaker, former Somerset cricketer and now Test Match Special summariser Vic Marks.
Alex Bleakley won the first team batting prize, with Mark Sanger taking the bowling award.
Batsman Ryan Gullock and bowler Mark Watts won the second team prizes.
Alex Bleakley was the third team's top batsman, with Aaron Woodruff named the star bowler.
Sanger was then award the overall players' player prize and Woodruff was the leading youth player. Paul Buxton was named clubman, while the long service award went to Andrew Stonell.
Following the awards ceremony and meal, Marks gave an entertaining insight into his playing days and time in the TMS commentary box.

Frome are always looking for new faces and are keen to expand. Winter net sessions are expected to get under way in November.
