Author to give a talk on delights of Peak District
The joys of the Derbyshire countryside will be revealed in a talk later this month.
Author John Bull will give an illustrated talk on his new book The Peak District: A Cultural History, at Frome Library on Saturday, June 23, at 2pm.
He will explore the culture and history of the two landscapes of the Dark and White Peak.
It includes social history as well as literary and artistic accounts of the area and will appeal to ramblers, historians and lovers of the countryside.

Mr Bull lived in the High Peak for 30 years and was a member of the Peak National Park Authority, chairing its planning committee between 1997 and 2004.
