Attack will not sideline mascot
A FOOTBALL club mascot who was punched in the face during a Yeovil Town match has said the incident will not deter him from rallying crowds.
Colin Biss was attacked while wearing his foam Jolly Green Giant costume at half-time during the Sky Bet Championship clash on Saturday.
He said a Nottingham Forest supporter "came at him" while he was greeting away supporters in the Screwfix Community Stand with his son Ben, the Little Jolly mascot.
He said: "I'm not sure if he was drunk or if he may have just been upset about the game. I think he may have thought I was rubbing in the fact they were losing. But I just went over to the away fans – it's a friendly greeting that I always do."
A man was arrested then de-arrested after Mr Biss decided not to press charges.
