Somerset Rural Life Museum in Glastonbury is once again running a series of one-day courses on orchard management.

The course will provide an introduction on apple tree management and how to care for an orchard, and will be run by local expert Les Davies, who for many years undertook the care of the museum's own cider orchard.

Through the course participants will discover the many aspects of caring for a traditional cider orchard, especially pruning.

The course is suitable for both those who own an orchard and need advice on how to care for their trees, and for those who may only have a few trees but are not sure how to prune them.
