Appeal over Wells Cathedral collection box theft
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was arrested for stealing from a Wells Cathedral collection box.
On Sunday, January 13, between 2 and 2.30pm two members of the public alerted cathedral staff to a man acting suspiciously near one of the boxes.

Call police on 101 with any information
Following an arrest the police are asking these two people to come forward to identify the suspect and help ensure a successful prosecution.
There is concern the collection boxes are being targeted by thieves after further suspicious behaviour has been reported. Anyone with information should call police on 101.
