Glastonbury's Frost Fayre will be returning to the town in a few weeks, and the organisers say they hope it will be bigger and better than ever.

There are plans for horse and carriage trips to Santa's Grotto in the Abbey Grounds, entertainment and workshops from Children's World, all-day buskers, live street entertainment, stalls, festive food and drink, and three official music venues in the town centre.

There will be choirs, a lantern parade, a Christmas Tree festival and Christmas craft workshops.

The fayre will take place on December 15, until 8pm.

Stalls will be selling all manner of Christmas goods including yule logs and wreaths to items of handmade clothing, pottery and other crafts.

Market stalls will be set up, with a pig roast and hot mulled apple punch for sale.

The event will see the High Street closed to traffic to allow traders and visitors to make the most of the day.

Julie Hayes, Glastonbury Abbey's education co-ordinator, hopes to see a glowing trail of lanterns travel through the town as dusk falls, marking the end of the Frost Fair.

Willow lantern-making workshops are to be held over the winter months.
