Almshouses are defended
As residents of Llewellyns Almshouses, we feel that we have to reply to the letter published on February 21, in the Wells Journal, about the state of our houses.
On whose good authority this person got the information, they were misled.
Our houses are warm (if you put the heating on), comfortable, nicely decorated. Okay, every home has draughts, but they are certainly fit for human habitation, and if this person cares to come and have a look around, we would be pleased to show them.
They have obviously never been to our open days or they would have seen for themselves.
