Alchemy returns to city
The city of Wells is about to get its first alchemist since the middle ages.
Adam Lynch hopes to find the formula for success whan he opens The Alchemy of Colour in Tucker Street on Saturday selling rare natural dyes and handmade paints created to order.
There are also 106 different varieties of tea, rare coffees, herbs, spices, perfumes and roots in a range that from cinnamon sticks to frankincense.
Adam also plans a range of cosmetics and can supply the necessary ingredients for French polishing.
So if you are in the market for linseed oil, a woad ball or a bag of raw cocoa beans, the mysterious looking shop hidden away behind darkened windows with its vintage fittings is a must visit.
