Adopt an orphaned badger
Animal charity Secret World Wildlife Rescue is being flooded with distressed critters due to the rising waters.
The charity expects to take in more than 4,000 orphaned or injured animals and birds this year – each case costing £160.

To that end, the East Huntspill charity, recently supported by a Christmas concert in Glastonbury, wants people to adopt a badger, fox, otter or hedgehog.
While those signing up for the adoption programme would receive benefits like a chosen species fact sheet and an annual update on the charity's work with that particular creature, their subscription would help the charity in a number of ways: transport costs, food, medicine, heating and bedding.
