Action taken over poor car parking
Action has been taken in Peasedown St John to stop bad parking making life dangerous for children playing in Sunnyside View.
The problems were caused by motorists parking on the pavement and drivers speeding in the cul-de-sac.
Councillor Sarah Bevan (Lib Dem, Peasedown) took up the case and contacted housing trust Aster Communities which is responsible for the road and parking bays.
Ms Bevan said: "The situation was becoming too dangerous to live with, especially when the weather got warmer and children broke up from school.

"I was very impressed with the immediate reaction from Aster, who repainted the parking bays throughout the development within weeks."
Ms Bevan also persuaded nearby Cambrook House, which is run by the National Autistic Society, to work with Aster to provide at least two more parking spaces in its car park.
