ACOUSTIC PLUS
Acoustic Plus returns to Frome's Cheese and Grain on Friday, February 24 for the the first show in its tenth year.
Organiser, Nick Waterhouse, said: "While it's no longer £1 on the door, you still get some pretty spruced-up music for your money, and this month is no exception.
"Three years ago, Joe Mulcrone was a young singer/songwriter from Beckington who played a fantastic set for us.
"Now he's a singer/songwriter living, playing and recording in Brighton. With the help of a great band he's looking forward to his return to Acoustic Plus, as are we.
"She stunned us with her 'hauntingly beautiful and intensity romantic' songs a while back, and Daisy Chapman is also returning with her piano and loop station, and a 'live set not to be missed'.
"Some of you, by now, are prepared to expect the unexpected. Others may be surprised by an act as curiously brassy as Honk Monster.
"Young singing sensation, Beth Monk last played the A+ in 2010. She now has a clutch of fearsomely good songs at her disposal, and for this night she will be allowing her dad to accompany her on guitar.
"Plus with 'Discuss & Do' already happening at The Grain earlier in the day, we may even have a bit more music up our sleeve."
Acoustic Plus is a family friendly event and all ages are welcome.
Admission costs £5 on the door and starts at 8.30pm (doors open at 8pm).
