An astonishing 300 cyclists are now signed up to take part in a charity cycle ride that starts at Huish

Park in Yeovil and ends 260 miles away - in Huddersfield.

The Pink Link 'Pedal for Pounds 3'

bike ride from Yeovil to Huddersfield will be Huddersfield Town FC's third

charity bike ride, which raises money for the 'Keep It Up'

campaign, benefiting local charity and partner Yorkshire Air

Ambulance as well as the Huddersfield Town Academy.

22 took part in the first ride from Huddersfield to Southend

in 2010, while 168 went "With Dean to the Withdean" in 2011 from Huddersfield to Brighton. Those two

rides alone raised over £200,000 for the 'Keep it Up' campaign.

Once again HTFC's Chairman will be on his bike for the ride. "To see so many of

our supporters getting on board with the ride this year is absolutely amazing,"

commented Huddersfield Town Chairman Dean Hoyle.

"The Club has been dedicated to raising funds for YAA since the start of our partnership

with the charity in 2009, and we are well on the way to hitting our million

pounds target.

"The Club and its fans continue to do everything we can to support our

community. It makes us all very proud."

The ride will begin at Huish

Park in Yeovil on Wednesday

2 May 2012, with cyclists pedalling a mammoth 260 miles back

home to Huddersfield in time for the final League 1 home fixture against of the

season against The

Glovers on Saturday 5 May

2012.

It is the biggest fundraiser in the club's history, and every person who raises

over £1000 for the 'Keep It Up' campaign will be rewarded with a FREE 2012/13

season card from the club, an outstanding gesture from the League one outfit.
