Brendan Adams, from Wells Classic Motorcycle Club, is pictured with a 1965 Royal Enfield awaiting restoration, as two days of sunny skies greeted as many as 20,000 classic bike fans at the Bath & West showground this weekend.

The 33rd Carole Nash Bristol Classic Motorcycle Show drew in crowds from all over the country and guest of honour was 78-year-old Northern Ireland racing legend Sammy Miller, who regaled audiences with stories of past glories.

There were bikes from generations before Sammy’s time on the track.

More than 600 bikes, dating back as far as a 1904 Humber Olympia Tandem, where the passenger sits in front, to a modern classic – the 2002 Honda Dream – were on show, brought to the showground near Shepton Mallet by 70 clubs and associations.
