THE Wessex Point-to-Point Area's four Vixen Horsefeeds-sponsored awards will be presented at a summer party on Saturday, 21st July, at a new venue, The George Albert Hotel between Yeovil and Dorchester.

Leading gentleman rider is Cornishman Will Biddick, the National champion, many of whose 42 winners have been for West Dorset trainer Richard Barber. Wessex Area runners-up are Darren Edwards, who had a fine partnership with Coombe Hill, and Jack Barber, who came close to Cheltenham Festival glory on Christies' Foxhunter runner-up Chapoturgeon. Alice Mills wins the leading lady rider contest for the first time. Sally Hutchings' Tropical Secret and Martin Pitchwood provided the foundation of her 26 points. Runners up were the 2010/11 National Ladies Champion Gina Andrews and Jo Buck, who was in contention for the National title until breaking her ankle in early May.
