Mike, who works for Pains Fireworks, borrowed the torch from his company which back in 1948, was charged with the task of helping to design the torch and keep the Olympic flame alight.
Mike, head designer for Pains, said: "The torch was used to take the Olympic flame to Torbay, where the sailing was held that year."
